Our Restringing Process
We take great care with every piece entrusted to us, treating your jewellery as if it were our own.
1. Send or Bring Us Your Jewellery
You’re welcome to drop your piece into our Llandeilo shop, or post it to us using secure, tracked delivery.
2. Careful Inspection & Clear Quote
Once your jewellery arrives, we assess the condition of the pearls or beads, the clasp, and the original threading.
We then provide a clear quote before any work begins.
3. Expert Restringing by Hand
Using the highest-quality silk or specialised beading thread, we restring your piece with exceptional attention to detail.
We can knot between each pearl or bead for added strength and elegance — a traditional technique that protects against loss should the thread ever break.
4. Safe Return or Collection
When completed, your jewellery is securely packaged for collection or safe return via insured post.
Care Tips
To help your pearls and beads stay beautiful for longer:
- Store them flat to prevent stretching
- Keep them away from perfumes, lotions, and hairspray
- Have them restrung every 1–2 years if worn frequently
- Wipe pearls gently with a soft cloth after wearing
